Dead by daylight ís everything you can expect from horror games. Players can enter the game as survivors or as blood-thirsty killers.
As a survivor, your objective is to repair the generators spread across the map to power the exit gates. As a killer, on the other hand, your goal is to catch the four survivors and hook them up as sacrifices to the entity.
Now that’s why the game is pure horror and deadly. Survivors are constantly trying to elude the killers who want to hang them.
Also, they’ll be running towards the generators to repair all five of them successfully while the killers will wait to catch them there. All these goals are tedious and require a lot of strategies.
How to Win Dead by Daylight as a Survivor
1.Study the Killers
It’s good to understand how the enemy works to elude them better. Currently, there are 24 killers in the game. Some include Blight, Ferryman, Huntress, Mordeo, Nemesis, Spirit, Nightmare, Nurse, Hag, Oni, Hillbilly, etc.
Each of these Killers has unique characteristics, and if you understand them, it will be easier to work against them.
For instance, the Blight can move too fast for its own good. The Hag teleports too quickly, and being a short killer; Survivors fail to see her faster.
She sets traps, but with flashlights, you can burn the traps. Another Killer to study is the Nurse. She can blink and pass through generators, walls, pallets, and other solid objects with her power.
The nurse is difficult to kill, and it’s best to run away from her. All these details will help you survive better in the game.
2. Repair the Generators Faster
To win the game means to open the exit gates and run away finally to safety. Unfortunately, the only way to open the gates is by powering the generators.
So, the Survivors should work together and fix the generators. Such action won’t be easy because the Killers target players around the generators. Also, you can fix them and have them destroyed again.
So, the best strategy is to share yourselves to perform different tasks. For instance, some people can face the Killers to distract them while others rush to repair the generators. None of these is easy, but it’s achievable.
3. Be Creative With Perks.
Perks in Dead by Daylight can add more advantage against the Killers. Even though the game offers a lot of them, there are some perks we love to use.
For instance, if you get “Dead Hard,” you can escape the killer better by doing fast running bursts. Secondly, a perk like Sprint Burst also increases your running speed away from killers.
The Borrowed Time perk helps you save your teammates from the Killer’s hook while Spinechill tells you that a killer is looking towards you. Other commendable ones to consider are Urban Evasion, Decisive Strike, Adrenaline, Iron will, etc.
4. Scratch Marks Are Deadly.
One thing we don’t like in DBD is that Survivors leave scratch marks when they run. So, even though you need to run away from the Killers, doing it carelessly will still expose your direction to them. So what can you do?
Instead of running all the time, try to break the marks by crouching and walking. When you run and leave scratch marks, you can try crouching for some time to stop the marks.
If you must move faster, try brisk walking a bit instead of running again. That way, a killer chasing you won’t know the direction you’re heading to on the map. Also, find out the intersections on the map to help break your directions.
5. Blend With the Environment
There is no need to flash colors all over the map. If you do, the Killers will locate your faster. So, make sure you can blend in with your environment by choosing your clothes colors well.
For example, if you can play as Rochelle, whose clothes are usually dark, the dark areas will be your strength.
But if you can’t play the character, try to choose clothes that won’t give you away easily. For example, if you target poorly-lit areas or places that have the color of your clothes, then Killers will find it hard to see you.
These tips and more will help you win this game. First, remember that your team must repair the generators to open the exit gates.
The Killers are many, and each of them has its strengths and weaknesses that you need to discover. Fight them with their weaknesses but always avoid the ones you can’t fight.
