Algeria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Burundi, Hungary, and Iran are among the nations with national flags that have the colours green, white, and red. Italy, Lebanon, Madagascar, the Maldives, Mexico, and Oman are other nations with green, white, and red as their national colours.
Mexico and Italy both have flags that resemble each other in appearance. Their flags have three distinct vertical stripes of green, white, and red, arranged from left to right. The Mexican flag’s coat of arms, an eagle sitting atop a prickly pear cactus with a serpent in its talon, is depicted in the centre of the white portion of the flag. There are only solid stripes in the Italian flag.
Three continuous horizontal stripes of green, white, and red are displayed on the flags of Hungary, Bulgaria, and Iran, which are also fairly similar. Hungary’s flag features vertical red, white, and green stripes, while Bulgaria’s flag has horizontal white, green, and red stripes. Green, white, and red horizontal stripes run the length of Iran’s flag from top to bottom. The edges of the green and red pieces have “God is Great” printed in white Kufic script, while the centre of the white half has a red Iran flag.
The remaining flags are composed of variously patterned green and red combinations. The horizontal red and green bars on the right are surrounded by a white vertical bar on the flag of Madagascar. A ornamental band of white and red appears on the Belarusian flag. Two daggers and a sword can be seen on the flag of Oman. The flag of Lebanon features a green cedar tree, while that of Algeria features a red crescent moon and a star. The Burundi flag features four red stars, while the Maldives flag features a white crescent moon.
