According to the Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation, someone with 20/600 vision can see objects that a person with average 20/20 vision can only see from 600 feet away at a distance of 20 feet. Another example is when someone who has great vision detects something at 60 feet but only sees it at 2 feet.

According to the American Foundation for the Blind, 20/200 vision is the clinical standard for being legally blind. A person with 20/600 eyesight is therefore regarded as legally blind.

According to WPTV, someone with 20/600 eyesight can only distinguish between individuals and shapes. According to CNN, this degree of vision impairment is comparable to a newborn’s vision.
