How much music can be put on a vinyl record depends on how big it is. Once, each side of a 12-inch record could only hold about six minutes of music. Now, thanks to technological advances, each side can hold about 30 minutes of music. Vinyl records with a weight of 180 to 220 grammes are preferred by audiophiles because the sound quality is better.
