Did You Know That Most of the Movies Are Inspired by the Two World Wars?

Cinema was the most common form of communication in the war effort. The fighting accounts and intensity of World War 1 and 2 enticed the generations after. As a result, this triggered the movie producers to develop war films that depicted the World War.

There are thousands of war movies in the cinema industry to date. However, choosing the best action video among thousands would be hectic. But if you were to choose wisely, you would get a film with realistic battlefield scenes.

A realistic film has dignified soundtracks, graphics, 3D resolution, and a background depicting actual combat. Netflix is one streaming platform where you can find such videos. It has quality HD video resolution.

Netflix has a broad library of its originals, documentaries, anime, TV shows and more.  With Netflix, you get to enjoy the fictional geology of time.

Guess What?

Though Netflix has territorial licensing, you can watch the movies in any country; all you need is a VPN. ExpressVPN is the king of all.

Without further ado, let’s dive into some of the best World War 2 movies on NetflixThese movies depict a realistic battlefield scene with a perfect plot and storyline.

Most Realistic Movies Since WW2

Platoon

Apart from the World war, another famous war was the Vietnamese War. The Vietnamese War also led to the development of many action movies depicting that war. One such outstanding movie was Platoon, which was created in 1986.

The combat in this movie looks so real. Most of the Vietnam War survivors say that this movie accurately depicts Vietnamese warfare.

The Platoon characters portrayed great talents and profession in acting in the film. Not to mention the graphics and the casting that made it look natural.

Apocalypse Now

One thing to appreciate about this movie is its incredible video transitioning. The movie’s storyline is interesting because it involves the story of a Vietnam soldier on a mission to terminate a rogue officer.

Francis Ford Coppola developed the film according to a novel called Heart of the darkness. Probably that was the reason the movie’s storyline flowed with entertaining events.

Black Hawk Down

Have you ever heard of the Battle of Mogadishu? If you have not, meet the Black Hawk Down movie that illustrates how the Battle of Mogadishu transpired. You will find characters like Ewan McGregor, Josh, and Tom Hardy in the film.

The primary mission for these three gentlemen was to capture Mohammed Farrah Aidid. The battle there was horrific. More than a thousand Somalis and around twenty Americans were pronounced dead

People love this movie because of accurate combative measures that reflect how the original war happened.

Hacksaw Ridge (2016)

Would you imagine being a soldier without ever holding a gun?  That seems impossible, but the story of Desmond Doss is inspiring. If you doubt that, watch Hacksaw Ridge, you will sympathize with him.

Desmond Doss stood with his faith despite harassment, spite, and bullying. He went to a battlefield without a weapon and rescued more than a hundred injured soldiers at the movie’s end.

We Were Soldiers

Mel Gibson is the brain in this film, and its storyline reflects the Battle of la Drang. The film accurately portrays how the event of Hal Moore’s transpired.

The main criticism for this film is that it has not played most parts that occurred in the Battle of la Drang. Logically, it is hard to incorporate every scene in that Battle of la Drang because it was long enough to be covered in a series.

Lawrence of Arabia

This movie depicts the horrific events of World War 1. T.E Lawrence played the starring role in the movie. He faced discrimination in the Arabian Peninsula.

The soldiers of the Arabian Peninsula were villains and vicious, which caused massive murder and violence to their citizens. However, Lawrence, Sir Alec Guinness, and Omar provided a ray of hope to those people as they fought the evil soldiers.

Hitler: A Career

If you do not know about Hitler, you are probably not familiar with the two World Wars. Hitler was one of the most prominent characters in both World Wars as he led the Nazis against the Axis allied forces.

Joachim Fest produced a documentary movie about Hitler’s life. The movie depicts how Hitler came from a poor background and how he rose to become the president of Germany. The film also portrays a realistic character of Hitler and how he reigned the Nazis.

Conclusion

The movies mentioned above are just a sample of great films played after World War 2.  WW2 has been a source of creativity and inspiration to moviemakers and it continues to be.  Some movies can make you cry, others break your ribs.  The beauty of it is, you can enjoy them on Netflix.
