Nowadays permitting VISA and immigration is an issue of great dispute in the United States.
The conditions are getting worse for immigrants since Donald Trump took an oath. Donald Trump made special amendments in the laws for permitting VISA and citizenship.
No matter what issue we are talking about, myths are common for every kind of subject. But sometimes these myths lead to enormous consequences. We believe that restrictions on immigrations were based entirely on these myths.

Immigrants Accommodate the Country Illegally
Although many immigrants are living in the US unlawfully, most of them (i.e., more than 75 percent) are authorized US citizens. They follow all the rules and pay their taxes just like the US-born people.
They benefit the US as much as its residents. So, it will be unfair to say that all or most immigrations are illegal or unauthorized.
Immigrants Do Not Do Any Good to the Us Government
Another major myth is that immigrants cost more than they offer. But the fact is quite the opposite. Immigrants pay more taxes as compared to US-born citizens. A report says that immigrants contribute about 259,000$ in the net value US.
Moreover, whether an immigrant is documented or undocumented, they pay tax whenever they buy food, clothes, and other stuff. An institute of Taxation and Economic Policy stated in 2017 that unauthorized citizens spend more than 11 billion dollars yearly in the name of taxes. Unlike US-born, they sometimes have to pay for the facilities that they will not even get.
Increased Immigrations Lead to the Increased Crime Rate
Another myth is quite common that states, the higher the immigrations, the greater the crime rate. But the statistics are quite the opposite of this myth. Higher migrations lead to fewer crimes as most of the people maintain excellent and decent behavior. Most people that migrate to other countries are the ones that are trying to avoid violence and atrocities. So, they are less likely to engage in criminal activities. Moreover, unauthorized immigrants try to stay away from violent acts due to the fear of getting banished. Thus, they do not involve themselves in any violence and disputes.
Banning Immigration Will Protect the Us From Terrorism
Another misconception that is believed by most of the people is that Muslims are the sole reason behind terrorism. That is why Donald Trump banned VISAS to the residents of six major Muslim countries. But the reality is different. Terrorism is not linked with one nation or one religion. It rests entirely on the sick mentality of a few individual groups in the world. Such groups are found in every religion, no matter whether they are Muslims or Christians. An example of this is El Paso shooting, in which a white guy opened fire on innocent people in El Paso, Walmart.
Immigrants Take All the Good Jobs
Well, most of the undocumented citizens are from developing countries. They do not have resources in their countries. So, they move toward the US. But most of such people agree to work on low paying jobs i.e., as laborers or workers. Whereas, the natives of the US do not work as laborers and workers due to increased awareness and education. That is why the US needs people from foreign countries.
Most people that settle permanently in the US own their own business. So, we can say that immigrants are VISA holders do not take more than a few jobs in the world. Moreover, during the interview, the priority of companies is to hire the natives instead of foreigners.
The Massive Flow of Immigrants Will Harm the Economy of the Us
Immigrants are contributing more to the economy of the US than the natives. They pay more taxes. They enjoy fewer benefits as compared to natives. So, there is no way their presence can harm the economy of the US. An immigrant is not eligible to get benefits unless he has been staying in the US for five years or more. The economy of the US is strong enough to accept the flow of migrations.
The People Who Don’t Need Visas
Although the US is pretty strict when it comes to granting VISAS, it shows leniency to some people. They are well aware of the fact that the foreigners that visit the US for short stay prove very beneficial for the United States. Therefore, they have eliminated the requirement of VISAS for the people belonging to Visa Waiver Program Countries.
The natives of VWP countries need an ESTA instead of VISA. Unlike VISA, getting an ESTA is not that much difficult.
In order to apply for ESTA online, you need the following things:
#1.PayPal Account or credit card that support online and international money transfers
#2.Eligibility to get an ESTA Online
#3.14 USD to pay the application fee
#4.Contact and personal information.
