A white pigeon is representative of peace, love, and honour. In Christianity, a white pigeon or dove is seen as a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The pigeon and dove are both members of the Columbidae family, and their names are frequently interchanged.

During his baptism, Jesus is shown in Christian iconography as being blessed by the Holy Spirit in the form of a white dove. Politics also employs the white pigeon as a symbol of peace in opposition to war and violence. Pigeons are devoted to one another and live as a family unit. The Egyptians viewed the pigeon as a representation of innocence.
