The newly passed GOP tax plan is set to do some severe slashing to the pockets of a lot of hard working Americans. One group who will see their financial support sour are teachers. And Emmy Award winning actress Jane Lynch has a plan for the rescue.
I’m 100% behind this @Staples. I spend about 4k a year at your store according to my tax receipts. You can jack my prices up by 20% if goes to help education professionals. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for Mr William Cautero of Las Lomas High in Walnut Creek— Jason Elia (@jedijamesdean) December 24, 2017
I agree!!! Staples just received a majorly reduced tax cut....Help the teachers!!!!— Toni (@ToniKiss) December 24, 2017

I agree! Help our teachers get help with their expenses. They need every bit of appreciation and encouragement they can get.— Serena Poulson (@RenaShel7594) December 25, 2017
Now this seems like an idea with an approval rating to be proud of.
Are you listening Staples? We're waiting for your thoughts.
Teachers are the backbone of the future. They mold the generations to come. How can we NOT supply them with the essentials for success?
We can all do our part.
How about a large barrel at the checkout of each store (as well as other solutions) where people could purchase extra supplies and drop them in the barrel to be distributed to local teachers for their classrooms?— Jan Ennis (@TheJanEnnis) December 26, 2017
Thank you Jane. Sad we have to do it, but we love our students.— Rebekah Shibley (@DodgerFoodie) December 25, 2017
