Watch these selfish parents shatter their children's dreams with impunity! We're big fans of the kiddies here at The Daily Buzz. They're cute, they're cuddly and the cuteness overload is just too damn much for us when you pair them up with the Easter bunny. Yes, children love that little scamp. And so do their parents. Parents love those Easter eggs, to be more specific. And they love it when their kids WIN and find more than any other child. Some parents were not too happy about it.
PEZ Candy cancelled their annual Easter Egg hunt in Connecticut after some overexcited parents proceeded to storm the fields, where about 9,000 eggs were hidden. Many children, some as young as 4 years old, were shoved aside by adults with utterly skewed priorities. New Haven resident Nicole Welch (she of the tragic photograph above) expressed considerable disappointment in a statement to CNN affiliate WFSB.
When it came time, at like 10:30 a.m. ET, the parents just bum-rushed that area. When my son left, he had a broken basket, and he was hysterically crying. Will her child ever be the same? The general manager and other staff on call for the event that day abruptly cancelled the event. Visitors who didn't get an egg or candy (also known as the group that followed standard event procedure) were told they'd be compensated. We can't fault PEZ, who assessed the damage as best they could.
We made efforts to get everyone something before they left and passed out tons of candy and coupons. Due to the actions of a few, the good intent turned into a mess.Sadly, yes. You can watch the mad dash in the video below.
