Christmas is a time of family, joy and reflection. We all gather to revel in merriment and reconnect with loved ones we haven't seen in awhile. Carols are sung, eggnog is poured and time is taken to evaluate the lessons learned in the closing year to better utilize the future year.

President Donald Trump has taken this time of festivus... to further his WAR on CNN, whom he considers the leaders of the "Fake News" mafia.

The president chose Christmas Eve as the perfect time to retweet a blood-spattered shoe meme with the caption "WINNING,"  attacking CNN.

The tweet was sent by a staunch supporter of 45's who the President felt needed a larger audience.

Well if that doesn't scream 'Happy Holidays!', what will?

Trump's supporter was tweeting a reply which referred to the President's slam at CNN for never reporting about 45's triumphs truthfully. 45 claims that :

"The Stock Market is setting record after record and unemployment is at a 17 year low. So many things accomplished by the Trump Administration, perhaps more than any  other President in first year. Sadly, will never be reported correctly by the Fake News Media!"

Is everyone still following along?

Though not CNN's official clapback, The Hollywood Reporter stated that "State of the Union" anchor, Jake Tapper first noticed the tweet and replied:

"CNN-labeled blood on the sole of his shoe. Retweeted by the President of the United States on Christmas Eve."

The battle between Trump and CNN, well actually any news outlet that isn't FOX News, has been burning hot since Trump first took that now infamous escalator ride.

As usual social media couldn't drag itself away to celebrate without following the hysteria first.

Wouldn't that make a Happy New Year?!

Is anyone keeping score? Do we know who this round goes to? It's certainly not the American people.

Happy Holidays!! Now stop reading Twitter and go celebrate!
