A new Coca-Cola ad meant to be a celebration of Saudi Arabia's new decision to give women the right to drive is being celebrated by some, but not others.
The cola ad shows a father giving his daughter her first driving lesson. As she falters, the father puts a bottle of Coca-Cola on the dashboard as incentive to do well.
Once the daughter takes a long swig of the soda, she becomes empowered and the two take off down the road.
Others were more suspicious of Coke's motivations.
Shameless political and corporate propaganda.— Marque Chanson (@Kriegshund) November 5, 2017
