Neil deGrasse Tyson is an outspoken defender of science and reality. While he has not butted heads with our new administration yet, it seems it's only a matter of time.
This past week, Tyson found himself on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While he began with some light and jovial Pluto planet-bashing, he soon moved on to a more serious subject.
Colbert brought up the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt. More specifically, Pruitt's denial that carbon emissions have an effect on climate change.
The educated and politically aware audience booed Pruitt's very name before Colbert could get the full question out to Tyson.
Tyson then issued his warning to the new head of the EPA.
Lately, people are just talkin'.
I will act when they actually try to put legislation into place.
But people just talk! And I can't chase what people say, 'cause it flutters with the breeze.
