In this world, we take comfort where we can find it. Two homeless dogs in China found comfort in each other.
These two adorable dogs only had one another and were surviving on the streets. This isn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill, adorable doggy internet photo. It's bittersweet, if anything.
Why was the lighter-colored dog holding the older one? Some feel that perhaps he was trying to protect the other one from harm. It is a sweet symbol of care and love. However, the position that these two dogs were in was not good for the alignment and health of their spines. For this reason, a group of nuns took the two dogs in and have been working on separating the pair. No, I do not mean that these nuns forcibly removed the dogs from one another. (These are nuns, remember!) All they did was try and get the two dogs to stop standing in this way so that their spines and postures could heal.
The progress report on these two sweet dogs is pleasantly positive. While they were nervous, sad, and physically inseparable at first, they are coming around to being able to sit and stand on their own. They still love each other and play together, but they are slowly adjusting to a better life where they are cared for, instead of having to defend themselves against the harsh world of the streets.
I cannot imagine what these two dogs have been through. I am, however, happy that they are now in a better place, as they deserve to be. They are learning to be independent. They are learning to relax. Life is looking up! If that's not a positive thought to keep in your head, then I don't know what is. HT: PlayBuzz
