Game Of Thrones author, George R. R, Martin took a brief break from his long and endless work on his next highly anticipated novel to write about the surprise and unexpected death of modern day America and the imminent rise of President Elect Trump.
Martin's message appeared on his LiveJournal. (I'm shocked that anyone still even has one of those!) The title, President Pussygrabber, might perhaps give you an idea of where Martin's opinion lies. George R. R. Martin is usually a man of many words, a man who pens pages and pages to describe the murder of a single secondary character. Not so when it comes to the murder of our very republic. No, Martin kept things very brief and foreboding.
The LiveJournal post said, in its entirety:
There are really no words for how I feel this morning. America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not. Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage. And the decimated Democrats, a minority in both House and Senate, do not have the power to hinder him. Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse. Winter is coming. I told you so.
And there you have it, folks. The white walkers got nothing on President Trump, Vice President Pence, and secretaries/cabinet members Giuliani, Christie and Palin. Add to that the Republican majorities in Congress, and winter may indeed be coming. Perhaps it is us who should get to work on building a wall to protect us?
