The key is timing. What works and what doesn't?
Former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page picked quite the outfit to deliver a bunch of documents in, especially ones that are under subpoena to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
A bucket hat? Well seems that to scream "Not Russia!"
It's so red and shiny too.
The one-time foreign policy advisor, who was recently questioned in a lengthy closed-door hearing in relation to the Russia probe, arrived at the Hart Senate Office building with a gregarious smile and confidence sporting the headpiece.
Which of course diverted attention from the Russia inquiry in the media.
Like Joan Rivers on the red carpet, Twitter was dying with commentary.
Who are you wearing? What was your inspiration?
i want to know when carter page bought the hat, i want to know how he settled on red, i want to know how he thinks he looks on it, i want to know how he decides whether or not he’s going to wear it that day, and i want to know how many similar hats he owns— Ashley Feinberg (@ashleyfeinberg) November 16, 2017
I think he is playing up the mentally incompetent part— Brett ⛔ (@EIZNEM) November 16, 2017
Carter Page's Hat would already have a twitter account if this was 2012— dorsey.mp4 (@dorseyshaw) November 16, 2017
Carter? It's not looking like the response you were hoping for.
Carter did respond about his fashion choice.
