Now, one theater's artistic director is in hot water over a nude scene in a play he directed at a popular children's theatre company.

Burgess Clark, the artistic director at Boston Children's Theatre, caught some flack from the theater's board of directors for a brief nude scene in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

While Cuckoo's Nest seems an odd choice for a children's theatre, Clark has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of what children's theatre can be.

The scene in question deals with the main character of Randle Patrick McMurphy, played by 21-year-old Sam Mulcahy, facing off with the overbearing Nurse Ratched, played by 18-year-old Teresa Gelsomini.

In the scene, McMurphy is wearing a towel, and Nurse Ratched tells him: "Get out of that towel at once." McMurphy replies, "Certainly," and drops the towel. The actor is then naked for approximately 25 seconds.
