Holidays are coming! What’s your Christmas card look like? I hope it looks great, but if not, then let me help you out a bit. There are many ways to create a beautiful holiday card without spending a lot of money. Here we go!

First Things First – You Need a Printer and Paper, Right?

There are hundreds of printers on Amazon, and while they cost quite a bit, you can get them for $50-100. Printable designs (that is, ones that you can actually print) are online – you just have to search for them.

I’m sure you can find some really nice designs, but here is my favorite list of free printables you can use for Christmas cards. Click the images below to access the link:

I recommend going over to these websites and searching around. You might find something amazing!

Now, What About the Design?

Here you have two options – buy the printable designs or make your own using Photoshop. I’ll start off with the latter option.

  • Step 1 – Open the image you want to use. In this case, I’m using a template that I downloaded. Place the text onto the background and resize until you’re happy with it. Now change the color of the text. Keep this layer seperate.
  • Step 2 – Next, create a new document and paste the image onto it. Use the pen tool and draw around the edges of the letters. Resize it down to fit the size of the card. If you want to add your own design, do that now. Make sure the font is white and uncolored. Paste it under the previous text layer.

Done! That was pretty simple, right? These steps give you enough information to make at least 4 holiday cards without paying anything extra.

You can even download templates and use them yourself. Go ahead and try it out, you won’t regret it. Happy holidays!
