Green is the outcome of the combination of blue and yellow. The three primary hues are red, blue, and yellow. These three hues cannot be created by combining any other hues.

The primary colours, along with black and white, can be used to create every colour in the rainbow.

Green is a supplementary hue. The secondary colours that result from combining two main colours are those. Two more secondary hues are orange and violet. Secondary colours have hues that fall in the middle of the two basic colours that give rise to them.

Using a colour wheel, the relationships between colours are shown.
