One way to know you’ve been stressed lately is if you start developing sleep problems that become disruptive. You may become fatigued or overly sleepy earlier in the evening.

The opposite problem can happen, too, where you’re more restless and unable to go to sleep.

Stress can lead to either of these problems, so keep that in mind as you go.

Irritability

People can become quite impatient when they’re stressed. They’re on edge, they’re nervous, and they have much less tolerance for minor issues that ordinarily do not bother them so much.

Stress does that. It adds a sharpness to your personality that you may, unfortunately, take out on those who don’t deserve it.

Stress also raises levels of the chemical cortisol in our bodies.

Cortisol shows up when we are stressed or haven’t been getting enough sleep. And increased levels of it can build up and ultimately cause breakouts.

Try to relax, and your skin may recover, as well.
