Dodge is the name of the car, and SXT refers to a particular exterior trim option. A 2014 Dodge Charger, for example, might be available in SXT, SXT Plus, or R/T. The biggest visual variations between these are found in the various vehicle cosmetic features’ designs and colour schemes.
Because it is essentially the same feature set as the basic package with a few additional improvements, the acronym SXT stands for “Standard Extra”. The standard package featured in many Dodge vehicles is comparable to a Dodge SXT, but thanks to these updates, the car now has a more upscale appearance. Other options that are not available with the base, or SE, package can be added to a car with the SXT package.
