Tinder has joined many souls over the the years. It's the new wave of "romance." But not everybody uses it for finding their soulmate. Some use it for human window shopping, flirting when bored or... for consumer sales.
One inventive college freshman, Aline Cunia, from SUNY Oswego University decided to utilize Tinder as possibly the next Amazon.
For awhile she had been a presence on Tinder, usually just to flirt with boys while she had nothing better to do but, one day she met her (for now) Prince Charming and had to abolish her Tinder connection.
Later though she sprouted an idea while visiting her cousin who needed to sell a lamp. Aline thought it would be a smart idea to create a profile for the lamp itself and put it up for the highest bidder.
Online the young entrepreneur said the lamp was 25 and stated, "Not looking for hook-ups, just to sell my lamp. Serious inquiries only."
It didn't take long for Tinder to bite. Aline received so many responses it nearly crashed her phone.
Some "matches" came back at Aline with some interesting chat.
One user named Mike, whose profile photo consisted of a close-up torso only asked, "Are you hot? How many watts??"
Well creativity can be all around. So many responses were priceless.

Even her cousin Ariana got in on the fun.
Sexy lamp. No wonder it's so in demand!

At the moment the lamp is still in play. One man, "Joseph" offered $125 which was well over asking price. His only stipulation? That he and Aline meet in person, privately for an exchange.
Exactly! Eventually she learned from a relative the lamp may be worth at least $800.
In the end Aline has used this moment of notice for herself. She asked....
