Twitter Tears Apart Racist Political Cartoon About Confederate Statues And Shootings

A political cartoon implying we should stop creating a fuss over Confederate statues used an African American couple to get its point across.

Political illustrator Tom Stiglich tweeted his latest work to take the heat off of Confederate statues by emphasizing the need to be concerned with other plaguing issues like gun violence.

The complaint, however, lies in the fact that the depiction of African Americans choosing which issues to worry about most was drawn by a right-wing artist, who happens to be white.

"We should focus on all the unnecessary tombstones instead," Stiglich wrote, tagging Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Donald Trump.

The racist cartoon unleashed a fury on Twitter.

And others filled the gap of what the couple in the cartoon are actually reading, as opposed to the reversed headline on the newspaper.
