Women's Health Services Was The Topic
People are sensitive in today's political climate. Call it being a "snowflake" or call it being more aware of a possible rub being ripped out from under you. Major thanks to President Donald and his "relaxed" political atmosphere for fostering this awareness in us.
Tensions are higher with the new Affordable Health Care Act going to vote. Senator Pat Roberts, (R) Kansas, was clearly not aware of this, because he said something that has him in hot water.
When asked by Talking Points Memo whether the Senate would compromise on basic women's coverage that most Republicans want removed, his response was less than sensitive. Roberts responded:
I sure don’t want want my mammogram benefits taken away.
Since many Republican men claim they shouldn't have to pay for any kind of women's health care, Roberts defended the joke as just that. Twitter had some other thoughts.
