French Vogue triumphantly features the magazine's first transgender model on the cover.
And the Internet is all "a-Twitter" about the new sensation.
Introducing - Brazil's Valentina Sampaio.
French Vogue isn't the first to feature a transgender model. Sampaio was featured before on the cover of Elle magazine in her home country of Brazil, last October.
French Vogue Editor-In-Chief Emmanuelle Alt, is thrilled to follow Elle's ground-breaking path featuring a transgender model.
Hopefully, it won't always be a cause for celebration every time thereafter as society embraces a new normal.
In the magazine's 97-year history, French Vogue featured the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kate Moss. Alt said that the transgender model is the "absolute equal" to other female models.
Alt commented in her editorial that femme fatal Valentina was born a boy, with the exception of one minor detail.
The Editor-In-Chief added, "It's a detail one would prefer not to have to mention... but Valentina is on the cover of Vogue this month, not just for her looks or her sparkling personality, but because, despite herself, she embodies an age-old arduous struggle to be recognized and not to be perceived as something Other."
In regards to the issue hitting stands on February 23 with the headline - "Transgender beauty: How they’re shaking up the world," Alt said, "Trans people, the ultimate symbol of a rejection of conformity, are icons that Vogue supports and chooses to celebrate.
Alt is proud to announce Valentina's arrival to her fashion publication, saying that she is "changing the face of fashion and deconstructing prejudice."
It's not possible to limit the exquisite model to just one page. Continue on to see more incredible photos of Valentina.
