Over the Christmas season while most are eating, laughing, drinking and singing President Donald Trump, his supporters, CNN and anchor Jake Tapper are in the throws their latest battle royale.
On Christmas Eve the President took a swipe at CNN by retweeting an image of him in his car with, a bloodied CNN logo on the bottom of his shoe and the caption "WINNING," smeared across it.
This was his way of letting everyone know he has victory over CNN or as he likes to affectionately refer to them as 'Fake News.'
State of the Union anchor and perennial Trump target, Jake Tapper was the first to call out the President on what some saw as an ill-timed tweet, and when he did a Trump adviser, Jason Osborne tried to turn the tables on Jake but Jake was ready with... facts.
Mr. Osborne seems to neglect the 'fact' that his boss threw the first punch. Or he just sees it his own 'alternative' way.
This was definitely a round for Jake. And the audience was all about it!
no one respects Trump and Trump frustrated he cannot bully his way into being respected.— kris (@KristinReinPdx) December 24, 2017
That is so beyond the behavior of a mentally stable person, it should trigger the 25th. WHO. DOES. THIS?— sikntyrd54 (@sikntyrd54) December 24, 2017
So details don't matter when the president is tweeting. That's cool.— Adam Green (@theAdamGreen) December 24, 2017

Jake, you make each day a little better. Thanks. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.— Rocket J Squirrel (@RocketJSkwerel) December 24, 2017
Of course Mr. Osborne couldn't let it go replying to Jake with :
Have you looked at the picture? The “blood” has eyes! It looks like a bug!— Jason Osborne (@_JasonOsborne) December 24, 2017
Which Jake simply came back with :
Merry Christmas to you and yours.— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) December 24, 2017
Simple, to the point and festive.
