I'll be the first to admit that cats are an intriguing species. Most cat owners do. I think it's fair to say that when non-cat owners hear cat owners say "intriguing," they hear "jerks." I'd agree with that as well. No one can be sure what part of cat biology makes them standoffish and mysterious. Maybe it's their ears making them look like Batman.
