Ardent fans of the show - despite being in a tizzy - are questioning the feasibility of some of the characters' return. But rest assured, if the show is coming back, Barr's got story line logistics mapped out.
For ideas on what to expect should the show move forward, fans can look to Barr's, “where the characters from the series would be today” blog on her website from 2009.
Don't be surprised to see some of these scenarios surface for a possible Roseanne 2.0. They include: Dan reappears after faking his own death, Roseanne and Jackie open Lanford's first medical marijuana dispensary, Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby, Mark dies in Iraq, Leon has a sex change op, and Bonnie gets busted for selling crack.
Roseanne aired from 1988 to 1997 on ABC. Various networks are still bidding for production rights, but so far not one has clinched a deal for the reboot. Maybe that's because the queen hasn't spoken yet.
