Questioned About Shoe Sales, LaVar Ball Tells Fox Sports' Kristine Leahy 'Stay In Your Lane'

COMMENTS

This Wednesday, May 17th, Lavar Ball got into a tense exchange with Fox Sports' Kristine Leahy when she questioned how many of his son's shoes he had sold. Host Colin Cowherd initially asked Ball, whose $495 shoes have made headlines, whether he had sold any yet. Ball responded vaguely, saying he'd sold a "good amount." Leahy further questioned "How many?" to which Ball, without looking at her, shot a pointed:

Stay in your lane.

As Leahy tried to explain she was just curious, Ball refused to meet her eye and said to Cowherd:

I don't even worry about her over there. She scares me to death. ... She scares me. That's why I don't look that way.

Leahy, saying the comment was disrespectful, tried to ask why Ball was afraid of her. Ball, still refusing to meet her eye, continued talking to Cowherd, saying:

I'll tell YOU — 400, 500 pairs.

But Cowherd interjected:

She's a reporter. Her job is to probe.

To which Ball responded:

She can report to whoever she wants behind her. I'm talking to you, Colin.

When Leahy asked what Ball's problem with her was, Ball called her "a hater," then, seemingly imitating Leahy, said in a high-pitched voice:

'I would never wear a Big Baller shirt.' Well, good. Don't even talk to me.

With all due respect, you're a great reporter — just not reporting on me.
