McDonald's has pulled an advertisement in the U.K. which has been accused of using children's feelings of bereavement and grief to sell tasty burgers. An outside agency produced the 90-second ad, which depicts a young boy wondering what his deceased father was like.
The boy asks his mother a series of questions about his father. Her answers suggest the two had little in common: he was a big man, the son is not; he was a star football player, the son's a little clumsy; he had brown eyes, the son has blue.
What's the one thing they have in common though? They both love McDonald's fish sandwiches with tartar sauce.
