This past Thursday in Palos Verdes, Los Angeles, the pop-punk community (and everybody listening to the radio in 2007) lost someone very special to them.
41-year-old Chester Bennington, lead singer of band Linkin Park and a long time sufferer of alcoholism and drug addiction, committed suicide by hanging.
The coroner’s office said a half empty bottle of alcohol was found in the room of his home in Palos Verdes, but that no drugs or suicide note were present.
Today, Linkin Park released an official statement regarding its frontman's death.
