Kesha backed up claim of her abuse by her producer by releasing revealing email exchanges.
After being in a protracted legal battle because producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald wouldn't let Kesha out of her Sony recording contract over allegations of sexual and psychological abuse, the pop singer pulled the latest stunt in an attempt to bury him.
The emails do not shed a good light on Dr. Luke.
Kesha's attorney said that she wants to "be free from her abuser and rebuild her physical, emotional, and mental health."
In part of the emails, a conversation between Dr. Luke and Kesha's manager Monica Cornia reveals how unsympathetic he was about the singer's eating disorder.
Dr. Luke wrote:
We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet. there have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. this perticular [sic] time – it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all-juice fast.”
When Cornia asked the producer to be more supportive because she's "a human, not a machine," Dr. Luke retorted with this heartless answer:
if she were a machine that would be way cool and we could do whatever we want.
Dr. Luke even goes further to say that he's not alone in thinking her weight issues are a problem.
