Homophobes Lose It Over Tattoo Of Aaron Rodgers; Artist Responds

This past Friday, April 14th, a tattoo artist in Denver, Colorado, named Alisha Rice posted a photo of a recent piece she had created. The new tattoo features a male figure wearing an Aaron Rodgers jersey, a jockstrap, socks, and not much else.

Though the artist wasn't expecting any backlash when she posted a photo of the work on her instagram, the comments section was quickly flooded with homophobic messages. One user wrote:

What in tarnation is this gay a** sh**? This is what y’all do up in Wisconsin? Don’t even look like his face and that helmet is severely f****d. This some homo a** sh**.



Another wrote:

The gayest tattoo ever. I’m sure A rod don’t want this s*** on anyone.

Many, many others posted similar comments on the artist’s Instagram.



Rice, who has been tattooing since 1992, noted that the tattoo wasn’t necessarily supposed to be Rodgers. She states that:

[this] particular jersey was selected because [he] is a football legend and the client admires him as a player and as a person.
