The Supreme Court's decision on marriage equality is expected tomorrow. It's hard not to feel optimistic as we await the decision. Just yesterday, in what seems like a harbinger of good news, Hillary Clinton released a new video in support of same-sex couples. The Advocate reports that the two-minute clip showcases a wide variety of couples of all shapes, shades, sizes, and genders, looking ecstatic to marry the loves of their lives — a privilege that could be afforded to same-sex couples all over the country before the end of the month.
Clinton's empowering words provide a poignant emotional backdrop for the big SCOTUS decision. “Some have suggested that gay rights and human rights are separate and distinct, but in fact, they are one in the same. Being LGBT does not make you less human, that is why gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights.” Be warned--you might get a strong case of the feels.
