Here's How A Woman Responded To Receiving An Empty Box As A Gift From Her Boyfriend

How would you react to receiving an empty box as a gift? I'll admit, how this story would end felt like a forgone conclusion to me.

A Twitter user named Braxton Sislo got his girlfriend an empty box for a gift. Granted it was just an "I'm thinking of you" gift, not a birthday or holiday present of any sort.

How do you think she would react to receiving an empty, unwrapped box as a present? I know that I might be at first confused. I might think that my significant other was playing some sort of a trick on me, for sure. I would secretly hope that he was kidding and that some more significant present was coming my way.

Then again, maybe that's why I'm still single? I'll be sure to ask my therapist.

Here's what I know: Brax's girlfriend's response has indeed surprised most of the internet, because the tweet has gone viral with thousands upon thousands of likes and retweets.

Guys are even now trying out this situation on their girlfriends just to see if they would have the reaction that Braxton's did. They're quickly discovering how rare Braxton and his girlfriend just might be.

Braxton said of the whole situation:

I was both surprised and not surprised by her reaction. She's always been a woman that is grateful for the little things. But at the same time I wasn't expecting all of that. It's around Christmastime so I guess that's why people assumed it was a Christmas gift. I've actually bought her things I'm giving her for Christmas. We live over 1,000 miles away from each other and I've never felt closer to anyone.

It all sounds so romantic, really. I would love the love that Braxton and his girlfriend share. There's actually some sort of Gift of the Magi modern magic going on here, I think. A bit of holiday spirit we all could glean, right?

Let's all take some time this season to appreciate every gesture, and all the little things.
