Everyone is buzzing about how Meryl Streep stole the show last night at the Golden Globes with her powerful takedown of President-Elect Donald Trump.

It certainly seems that Donald Trump himself was most focused on Meryl Streep, as well, given his very-much anticipated tweet storm against the award-winning star this morning.
Of course, we have all seen the very-easy-to-find video of Donald Trump literally doing what he keeps on saying (for the 100th time) that he did not do. So we need not move forward with that particular issue.
Former TV star Hugh Laurie, of House, and last night's winning BBC program The Night Manager, also took a few witty, British pot shots at the President Elect:
"... I won this at the last-ever Golden Globes. I don't mean to be gloomy. It's just that it has the words 'Hollywood,' 'Foreign,' and 'Press' in the title. I also think that to some Republicans, the word 'Association" is even a bit sketchy..."
Zing! Quick, to the point, and probably so intelligent that Donald Trump didn't even realize what was being said. The thought of it being the final Golden Globes is probably sad for so many people, though. Where will Hollywood's elites go to get drunk for free once a year now?
Viola Davis, another popular and successful television star took a swing at Trump as well, and this punch came from backstage:
"I will, believe it or not, remove Trump from the equation, because it’s bigger than him. I believe that it is our responsibility to uphold what it is to be an American, and what America is about. And the true meaning of what it means to pursue the American Dream. I think that America in and of itself has been an affirmation, but I think we’ve fallen short a lot because there is no way that we can have anyone in office that is not an extension of our own belief system. So then, what does that say about us? And I think that, if you answer that question, I think that that says it all."
And also let's not forget Jimmy Fallon's Trump jabs in his opening monologue!
"This is one of the places where we still honor the popular vote... A lot of people wonder what would have happened if (Game Of Thrones') King Joffrey lived. Well, in twelve days, we're going to find out."
And just think: awards show season is only getting started! I cannot wait for the film, music, and theater industry to all weigh in with their thoughts and opinions on the incoming administration while they hold their glimmering trophies.
And to those conservatives who are screaming "celebrities should shut up and not have opinions on politics and government!"... remember you just elected the former host of The Apprentice to be our next President.
