Full disclosure: I haven't seen Fuller House just yet.
Sure, I've seen some negative reviews of the show. A bunch of my friends have told me that it's just the worst thing ever. But, then again, I have disagreed with said friends on many topics over the years. And let's be honest: was the original Full House really that "great" of a sitcom, anyway? I don't remember! I was like 10 years old and I thought Dave Coulier's Woody Woodchuck puppet was the height of comic genius. Anyway. My point is a simple one: I am now getting ready to start watching Fuller House.
The John Stamos-produced Netflix exclusive sitcom tweeted a photo earlier this week that showed series co-stars Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure decked out in New Kids On The Block gear. The tweet said:
.@candacecbure @JodieSweetin @andreabarber got The Right Stuff to welcome some special guest stars! @NKOTB #NKOTBFHJust. Stop. It. I'm kidding! Do not stop it at all! Why? Because I might miss the 90's a little! Okay, so I wasn't a NKOTB fan in my childhood. I was more of a Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Bel Biv Davoe sorta guy. But, still! When in Rome, take whatever 90's crap you can get!
We don't know all that much about the New Kids On The Block guest star storyline. We do know that they will be performing. Cue my extreme excitement.
This is not the only cameo we can expect in the coming second season of Fuller House, either. Alan Thicke of Growing Pains fame has previously tweeted that he will also be making a special appearance on the show. And if that's not enough, Uncle Jesse himself has said:
There are a few guest stars that could be surprises for everybody that I'm working on, but as far as the show, we're just in a better place to make a good, solid sitcom now.Bring on the 90's! Come on, Stamos and Crew! I'm rooting for ya here.
