After weeks of rumor and hearsay and whispering, FBI Director James Comey came before the House Intelligence Committee.
There were two serious issues that many have have been clamoring for more detail:
1. Does the FBI have any proof to substantiate President Trump's claims that the Obama White House wiretapped him during the Presidential campaign?
2. Is the FBI investigating President Trump in regards to the confirmed Russian interference in the most recent Presidential election?
FBI Director Comey graciously discussed both.
In regards to Trump's wiretapping allegations, Comey said:
With respect to the Presidents tweets ... I have no information that supports these tweets. And we have looked carefully inside the FBI.
The Department of Justice has asked me to share with you that the answer is the same for DOJ and all its components. The Department has no information that supports those tweets.
