Creators and cast members are interviewed in the two-minute clip that features a glimpse of some of the performers, featuring Caissie Levy as Elsa and Patti Murin as Anna, going through their paces in the rehearsal studio.

Composer and lyricist team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez reveal they are expanding on the seven-song score from the film to triple the number of songs.

The ambitious stage adaptation will cast a wider net to appeal to a mature audience. Book and original screenwriter Jennifer Lee explained, “For us, what drove us, what inspired us was the deeper emotions, the more adult themes."

Michael Grandage, the Tony-award winning director for "Red," will take on the reigns to direct "Frozen." “The narrative arc is so strong, we can go quite deep,” he said. Lee added, “especially with Elsa. We can get inside her head.”

President and producer for Disney Theatrical Productions Thomas Schumacher was aware of "Frozen" being destined for the stage since the beginning. “I screened a rough cut of 'Frozen.' I couldn’t believe what I was looking at on the screen was a perfect Broadway musical.”

The icy reception promises to be worth the wait.

Five years after the film's release, the denizens of Arendelle will come to life on stage in an out-of-town tryout at the Buell Theatre in Denver from Aug. 17-Oct. 1, 2017.

Elsa will then unleash the dazzling winter storm fans have been waiting for on Broadway in the spring of 2018 at the St. James Theatre in New York.

As Lee said in the interview about watching rehearsals, you might agree that “this is exactly what 'Frozen' was made for.”
