Conservative radio host and former one term member of the US House of Representatives, Joe Walsh took to Twitter to proclaim that carrying a gun is his right directly from 'God' .
I have a right to speak my mind, practice my religion, freely assemble, and carry a firearm.— Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) November 6, 2017
These rights come from God, not government.
Wow! That is quite the stamp of approval.
However Joe may need to go back and reread the finer print of the Bible.
The conservative host of The Joe Walsh Program is clearly a staunch 2nd Amendment enthusiast --and while we all appreciate someone standing up for their rights-- he must know of some secret passages or has acquired a few out of print editions because the particular part where 'God' ordains everyone with the right to carry any ole gun they like, can't be found by anyone else.
Twitter wanted to join in some of the Bible rewrite as well.
I love that verse in the Bible about the right to bear arms. I think it's in Ignorancians— roberthbrock (@Hudgins4life) November 6, 2017
and in the Garden the Lord bequeathed unto Adam a firearm of the highest caliber and said unto him "Take this weapon in remembrance of me."— Edge Nether-Regions (@BiglyPissed) November 6, 2017
Who doesn’t remember the classic verse: “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s rifle.”— Jack Trapper, P.I. (@ChrisFrankTweet) November 6, 2017
And the wise men descended upon Jerusalem, whereby they presented the son of God with weapons, ammunition, and explosives.— Edge Nether-Regions (@BiglyPissed) November 6, 2017
“Love the lord your glock with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”— Billy Roberts (@williamroberts) November 6, 2017
Others came up with some sweet art that Joe may want to use for the cover of this new version he preaches from.
Most people took the radio host to task for again confusing the Bible and the Constitution, a running them in our fractured government.
Don't forget that God got a bit sloppy with constitution and had to amend it a few times. Doesn't seem all that Devine to me. Lmao!— Michele (@msryber78) November 6, 2017
Man - NOT GOD - decided what 'rights' are ordained by him!— Lin/exGOP (@linmp1031) November 6, 2017
And you’re correct, they’re pretty picky & choosy about those rights!
I'm trying to remember where God gave us the inalienable right to have guns. Was that in Judges or Lamentations?— Ashley The Fearless (@mojofearless) November 6, 2017
right?!!? how do SO MANY PEOPLE forget that the constitution ends with "xoxo - god"— miel (@miel) November 6, 2017
Someone should send Mr. Walsh a copy of the Constitution --which has only a singular, definitive version-- and at the bottom highlight the signatures of the authors and one will notice 'God' is not listed.
And Joe sorry to point it out but he isn't listed as a writer in the Bible either. Just sayin'!
