Many diners were surprised with the presentation of their food.

Twitter user @WeWantPlates put together some of the most unusual ways restaurants serve it up for their customers. In an effort to stand apart from other businesses, some restaurants' entrees look appetizing with a side of whimsy, whereas others are far too ambitious and fail to make a connection with the hungry patron.
