So he didn't really stand for it when White House senior aide Sebastian Gorka seemingly went for the jugular, claiming, "I know you want salacious, sensationalist coverage for your ratings so your corporate sponsors and owners will have, you know, more money."
"But that's not media, that's not reportage," he chastised. "It's just fake news."
Cooper shut down Gorka, saying, "Okay. I'm just gonna ignore the insults because I don't think it really gets us anywhere."
But Gorka fired back, "It's not about you. It's about actually having journalism back on TV."
Cooper wasn't going to play ball, however, and moved on with the interview.
