Amy Schumer takes dig at Jenny McCarthy and anti-vaxx parents

COMMENTS

On a recent episode of Inside Amy Schumer, the comedienne tackles the issue of anti-vaccination parents by setting the episode in a doggy daycare center. A direct jibe is made towards Jenny McCarthy's stance, long-since disproven by medical professionals, that vaccinating children causes autism. On this episode of Inside Amy Schumer, one of the character's dogs is diagnosed with "pawtism."

Schumer doesn't just poke fun at anti-vaxxer parents. According to Salon.com and Medical Daily, Schumer also parodies women who treat their dogs like children. For example, Schumer's dog on the show suffers from FOMO -- fear of missing out -- hinting at overly-protective parents and perhaps overly-diagnosed children. There's a pill for everything these days!
