CHECK THIS OUT: An 80s Mashup Set To Classic "Simple Minds"

The 1980s were packed full of teen rom-coms that remain totally rad to this day. When you're a teenager, everything is high stakes. An intense crush, heart break, good grades and drug addictions are all crucial ingredients in the iconic 80s teen movies. Gag me with a spoon, it's all too much! But it's wonderfully engaging too.

To capture the spirit of the decade with those memorable films infused with teen angst, Las Vegas video editor Robert Jones has put together a time capsule of sorts and set it to the tune that was on everybody's mix-tape, "Don't You Forget About Me" from The Breakfast Club.

The video, which was seen on Today, includes clips from over 20 films, including Back To the Future, The Karate Kid, The Goonies, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, & Footloose, and was created as a labor of love in tribute to the upcoming 30th anniversary of The Breakfast Club. Not exclusive to comedies, scenes were also taken from adventure and horror films.  The presence of all those horny teens broke the ice, but also added a polarizing juxtaposition between life-threatening situations and sex. Remember how sexy The Lost Boys was, despite the sheer terror of being assaulted by lecherous vampires? Or the potential Oedipus Complex between Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson's characters in Back To the Future? Teenagers' emotions are magnified, and that's what makes these movies so compelling to watch, no matter what the genre.

You'll be shocked to find out just how many movies are referenced in this clip. Like Bill & Ted, let Jones take you on an "excellent" adventure back in time to stone-washed jeans and Aqua Net drenched bangs, to see how many of these films influenced your own adolescent life. It's like, totally awesome!
